Our dermatology patients are seen by appointment only. When possible, please notify our office 24 hours in advance if you need to cancel your appointment.
Despite our best efforts to see patients on schedule, emergencies occur, causing delays. You can help us maintain our appointment schedule by being on time for your appointment. Please be aware that if you are more than 10 minutes late for your appointment, you may be required to reschedule. We will try to keep you informed about any changes in our appointment schedule. Should you have to wait, please know that we regret any inconvenience and ask for your understanding.
The relationship between our providers and staff and our patients is confidential. It is a relationship based on mutual trust and understanding. Your medical records are absolutely private. No information about your condition will be given to employers, friends or relatives without your permission (except if required by a court of law). We want you to fully understand your condition and your treatment. If you do not understand something, please feel free to ask questions.
You may request that we release your medical records to a third party, such as an insurance provider or an attorney. Before we release these records, you may be required to sign a form authorizing us to release this confidential information. Please be aware that our office may also charge a medical release fee.
Please contact your pharmacy for any prescription refills. Your pharmacy will contact us with your request. Please allow at least 24 hours to process your request. Parkinson Dermatology will issue prescriptions and refills during our normal office hours.
Patients will be responsible for handling all mail-in pharmacy prescriptions. Our clinic has found this to be the most efficient and effective route.
Our charges for services, including office visits, procedures and surgery are based upon the severity and complexity of your condition, as well as the time spent treating you. Our staff will be glad to discuss our fees with you at your request.
If you have any questions regarding your bill or need to make special payment arrangements, please contact our billing department at (866) 719-4151.
A statement of fees is sent to you monthly. Regardless of your medical insurance coverage, our Clinic relies on you for settling your account. You are ultimately responsible for all fees relating to your care. Your health insurance policy is an agreement between you and your health insurance carrier. If your insurance carrier pays only a portion of our Clinic's bill, the remaining balance due is your responsibility.
Payment for cosmetic procedures is expected either before or at the time of your appointment, depending on the procedure being performed.
If you are receiving a laser procedure that is considered a "cosmetic" treatment, you will be required to make a 50% minimum deposit at the time your appointment is scheduled. The remaining balance of your procedure must be paid in full at the time of your scheduled laser appointment and will be collected at check-in.
Laser Appointment Cancellations - Cancellations or reschedules made at least 7 days prior to service date will result in a refund of your deposit. For cancellations or reschedules made less than 7 days before your scheduled appointment, deposits will not be refunded nor can your deposit be transferred to a rescheduled appointment. If rescheduling, a 50% deposit will again be required.
All products and/or services purchased from the Parkinson Dermatology, SC - Skin Care Center are cosmetic, therefore, payment is expected in full prior to receiving any product and/or service.
